    Estonia starts eliminating Soviet-period war landmarks

    Estonia has chosen to eliminate Soviet-period war landmarks from public spots.

    The move is pointed toward forestalling them “from assembling greater aggression in the public eye and tearing open injuries from long ago” following Russia’s attack of Ukraine, the public authority said.

    A notable T-34 tank in the city of Narva, which borders Russia, was being taken to the Estonian War Museum.
